Inácio Fernandes de Araújo Junior is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in Brazil and a researcher at Laboratório de Análises Territoriais e Setoriais (LATES/UFJF). He is an exchange student at West Virginia University (WVU) and a visiting researcher at the Regional Research Institute (RRI). His major research interests lie in the field of regional analysis. He has experience in the implementation and application of economic models, especially input-output and computable general equilibrium models, spatial econometrics, social network analysis and multivariate analysis. “The opportunity to participate in a high-level intellectual environment is the reason for which I chose RRI”, Inácio said. “The professional quality of researchers and the structure available in the RRI is an ideal setting for my professional growth and consolidation in my research field.”
