Eric Bowen is a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Regional Research Institute. He specializes in energy economics, applied economic policy, and spatial econometrics. He has conducted research on a wide range of topics, including fossil and renewable energy policy, education, health, and economic development policy. He has worked on externally funded projects for the Appalachian Regional Commission, US Department of Energy, and the US Department of Defense. He has published academic work in Energy Journal and has published a wide variety of applied research with the WVU Bureau of Business and Economic Research. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from West Virginia University in 2015.
