Biography

Stacia Harper has had an extensive career in energy policy, energy market development and utility regulation. Ms. Harper returned to West Virginia University to pursue her Ph.D. in climate change and climate equity issues within the Davis College division of Natural Resource Economics and Management. During her time at WVU Stacia has been the recipient of a Policy Fellowship through the WVU BRIDGE initiative working with the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory, Office of Critical Minerals and Rare Earth Materials. Se is also a graduate research associate with NASA's Goddard Space Institute Center for Climate Change Research Initiative. Her work with NASA focuses on assessing urban driven temperature change and its contribution to heat island formation and environmental equity. Stacia is a West Virginia native and enjoys hiking, live music, travel, photography, and anything outdoors!
